Summary
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Deputy Head to help lead Bradford Grammar School, one of the North's leading independent schools with effect from September 2027.
Detail
Located in a cosmopolitan urban setting but drawing equal numbers of pupils from the attractive and established suburbs of West Yorkshire and the lower Dales, Bradford Grammar School is a flagship for progressive, independent education. Above all, it is an inclusive and friendly school and a rewarding place to work.
We are looking for an accomplished and ambitious school leader who is ready for broad institutional responsibility. The successful candidate will combine credibility with judgement, be comfortable operating on a public platform and understand the importance of high standards, reputation, visibility and respectful relationships, in the management and leadership of a school.
The Deputy Head works closely with the Headmaster to lead and represent the School whilst setting the benchmark and tone for the management of the teaching staff. The role carries responsibility across the full breadth of School life and requires someone with the judgement, confidence and gravitas to project the authority of the Headmaster when needed.
The breadth of the role offers a rare opportunity to contribute across all aspects of the School, with a focus on the management of the teaching staff and will be particularly attractive to someone who has the capacity and ambition to progress to headship.
This is a unique opportunity to join a committed team in our exciting and forward-thinking School and would suit a candidate with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
