Senior School Nurse

Summary

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified Senior School Nurse to join our excellent pastoral team to cover a maternity leave. The successful applicant will lead the school’s nursing team, overseeing both clinical and administrative operations. They will manage compliance, ensure high standards of care and maintain regulatory requirements.

Detail

This role includes part-time pupil-facing duties as a School Nurse, while also allowing for dedicated time to fulfil administrative, training and compliance responsibilities within the nursing service.

The successful candidate must possess a current registration with the NMC, strong clinical nursing skills, with experience in managing chronic diseases and first aid (First Aid certificate preferred) and a comprehensive understanding of the Code of Professional Conduct for nurses, with the ability to supervise and support colleagues effectively with the ability to work with confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. A degree of flexibility is essential for this role.
