Caldicott is one of the country’s most prestigious Independent Boarding and Day Preparatory Schools for Boys. We are a flourishing school with around 250 boys from 7 to 13 years old, with a five-day week in Year 3 & Year 4 and Saturday School from Year 5, with Flexi Boarding (Years 3 – 6), Weekly, Full Boarding or Day Plus options (Years 7 & 8). We are seeking a committed and experienced HR Manager to join our management team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape all aspects of HR within a close-knit, values-driven community. Reporting to the Head, you will provide a comprehensive HR service across the school, supporting both teaching and support staff. You will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, safeguarding compliance, HR policy development, and day-to-day advisory work, ensuring best practice and alignment with current employment legislation.

The successful candidate will be a confident HR generalist with sound judgement, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both strategically and operationally. Experience in the education sector and knowledge of safer recruitment practices would be advantageous.

This role would suit someone who thrives in an autonomous position and enjoys building strong relationships across a collaborative organisation.

The successful candidate will:

· hold CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or equivalent professional qualification in HR;

· be a committed team player with excellent interpersonal skills, and

· have sound judgement and a fair and calm approach.
