Admissions Registrar
Summary
The Registrar will support the recruitment of pupils with primary responsibility to deliver a warm, welcoming & efficient admissions process, and is also responsible for all the associated admissions administration, data recording & reporting.
Detail
The successful candidate will ideally have experience within the independent schools’ sector in an admissions role. They will be expected to build and maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external, including prospective parents and feeder schools.
The Registrar will have overall responsibility for all aspects of admissions work ensuring that the School meets its objectives in terms of the number and the calibre of new students at the entry points. The Registrar will be comfortable with interactions with parents, feeder school heads and professional representatives.
Education & knowledge
• Strong A levels or equivalent
• Educated to degree level- desirable
• Understanding of the independent education sector
• Knowledge of the data protection, GDPR and freedom of information legislation
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office packages, especially Word and Excel.
• An understanding of the principles of outstanding customer service, sales and marketing
Experience
• Experience and appreciation of principles and practices of school admission functions
• Experience as a School Registrar
• Experience in working in independent education
• Experience of boarding education at senior school level - desirable
• Experienced in the use of iSAMS- desirable

• Presentable, warm and confident
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting demands
• Willing to show initiative and take responsibility
