Facilities and Maintenance Operative

Summary

Chinthurst School is seeking a proactive and dependable Facilities and Maintenance Operative to join our team and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both students and staff. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a range of general repairs and upkeep tasks, ensuring that our facilities remain safe, functional, and in excellent condition. You’ll collaborate closely with school staff to support the smooth running of day-to-day activities and contribute to the overall well-being of the school community.

Detail

We are looking for a key member to join our existing Maintenance and Caretaking team, who will provide support through ensuring a safe, secure and well presented environment throughout the premises during duty hours, for all pupils, staff and visitors.

This job carries a wide variety of duties, tasks and responsibilities. Some of these are routine and others are variable, depending on daily events and the school’s needs. An adaptable person with a wide range of practical skills is required. This role has the opportunity for professional development.

This role is for 40 hours per week, the working hours will generally be between 9am and 6pm, but some flexibility will be necessary for school events in the evenings and at weekends
