FEMALE GAMES COACH/TEACHER WITH NETBALL SPECIALISM (PART-TIME – MATERNITY COVER)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated female games coach to/teacher to coach netball, hockey and cricket throughout the school. A specialism in netball is essential, but also the ability and drive to coach other sports.

You will coach netball predominantly, but also hockey and cricket during games afternoons with at least one after-school squad and will have responsibility for a school team on a Saturday. Fixtures take place both at Freemen’s and across the region at other schools on our fixture list.

We are looking for qualified netball coaches of Level 1 or above, who have the enthusiasm and patience to work with young athletes. You will require a thorough knowledge of coaching and officiating and be required to plan, deliver and evaluate sessions against agreed learning outcomes. The ability to drive a minibus is also beneficial.

The post is offered on a fixed term contract from December 2025 to cover maternity leave and is term time only. The hours of work will be agreed each term with the Director of Sport. It is anticipated that up to 17 hours’ coaching per week is required immediately, with the addition of Saturday Fixtures.

The post is paid hourly and there are separate hourly rates of pay for coaching pupils and for accompanying pupils to and from, and during matches. Rates are determined according to skills and experience.
