Detail
The English School, Kuwait is excited to announce the search for a Head of Music to lead our vibrant and expanding music programme.
Due to ongoing school growth, we anticipate appointing an additional music specialist next year. As such, while our current vacancy is advertised as Head of Music, the final title may be adjusted to Teacher of Music for the first year, depending on the appointed candidate’s experience. The Head of Department role will then be confirmed based on the evolving structure and strengths of the team.
With our current Head of Music moving on, this position presents a unique opportunity for a passionate and creative educator to shape and further develop one of the cornerstones of our school’s cultural life.
We are seeking an inspiring teacher who can ignite a love of music in students, enhance the quality of our ensembles and performances, and continue to grow a programme that enriches both the school and the wider community.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in teaching and learning, a deep knowledge of the music curriculum, and a genuine passion for the subject. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as the role includes leading music across the school and supporting non-specialist teachers where appropriate.
We invite you to review our Applicant Information Pack for a full overview of our School and the role. The successful applicant will join us for the start of the 2025/2026 academic year.
