Teaching Assistants (SEND 1-to-1)
We are seeking to appoint full-time SEND 1-to-1 Teaching Assistants to work with children with an EHCP across the school. These are fixed-term appointments linked to EHCP funding, and you will start in Michaelmas term depending on your availability.
Exeter Cathedral School is in a position to build the Learning Support team in school and is seeking to appoint full-time SEND 1-to-1 Teaching Assistants to work with children with an EHCP across the school. These will be fixed-term appointments linked to the EHCP funding. You will start during Michaelmas term 2022, depending on your availability. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Differences and/ or Speech and Language Needs. You will need to: - Provide a sensitive and nurturing approach to children’s needs; - Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents; - Have excellent English and Maths skills; - Be willing to work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour; - Be able to use your own initiative when required; - Have experience in a similar role in a school; - Have prior knowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs. Salary: dependent on experience
