Farleigh School seeks to appoint an experienced Administrator with strong typing skills to join our School Office team in this newly created position and to start as early as possible in the new academic year, initially on a full time, fixed term contract for one academic year.
The School Office Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Office team, in particular the Headmaster’s PA & Office Manager and to the Admissions Registrar.
The successful candidate will be a committed team player and bring exceptional organisational and administrative skills, and will thrive in a fast-paced, busy school environment. They will interact on a professional level with colleagues and prospective and current parents.
The successful candidate will:
Be educated to a good standard in English and Mathematics
Demonstrate a strong level of IT literacy and be a confident user of all Microsoft Office programs
Possess proficient typing skills with high level of speed and accuracy
Demonstrate proven organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail, tact and accuracy
Have an excellent telephone manner in dealing with a range of callers
Be an effective communicator, with an appropriate manner, whilst demonstrating integrity and confidentiality at all times
Be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative as a creative problem-solver and be able to think ahead
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility with the start and finish times during term time would be beneficial, in order to respond to the needs of the school. The school is interested in hearing from candidates who are interested in working on either a term time, plus two weeks in the summer holidays or all year-round basis.
Occasional Saturday working to provide cover on reception during term time, or support staff events may be required.
The successful candidate will receive a renumeration package which includes:
· A salary of up to £23,400 or £18,720 per annum pro rata (41.6 weeks), dependent on skills and experience at time of appointment

· 28 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (payment is made in lieu if working 41.6 weeks per year)
