The Sports Coach (Cricket professional) is responsible for the delivery of coaching cricket and other sports throughout the whole of the Forest School Group (Senior and Prep). This role supports coaching at both elite and grassroots levels, ensuring high-quality training and contributing to the development of skills, confidence, and enjoyment for all pupils. They will play a pivotal role in developing the girl’s programme and must have had experiences within this area. The Sports Coach (Cricket professional) will also assist in the broader delivery of the PE and Games programme, contributing to other sports and lessons where necessary and fostering a positive and inclusive sporting environment.

Forest has a long tradition of cricketing excellence, with former pupils including Nasser Hussain and James Foster. Most recently, Old Forester Amu Surenkumar has gone on to represent England age groups and has signed for Warwickshire and the Manchester Originals, while our most recent 1st XI boys captain has featured as England’s 12th man in recent Tests at Lord’s. Several talented cricketers across the School are involved in the Essex and Middlesex pathways. Forest is consistently ranked among the Top 100 Senior Schools in the Cricket Schools Guide, and, in addition to recent Essex Cup successes, we proudly won the National Under-15 title in 2022.
