The King’s School, Worcester seeks to recruit an Assistant Examinations Officer to support our Examinations Officer in ensuring the smooth running and administration of all examinations within the Senior School. The post holder will liaise with teachers, pupils, parents and Examinations Boards regarding examination requirements, entries, results and communications, ensuring that the School adheres to the regulations of the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and the Examinations Boards.

If you have outstanding organisational and communication skills, have the ability to work to tight deadlines and a calm and reassuring demeanour, this could be the role for you! The successful candidate will receive all necessary training and support.

Working pattern: This role is part-time, 21 hours per week, term time only, with an additional 7 days to be worked during the summer holiday results period. Flexibility is required during the busy exam seasons when the role-holder will be required to work additional hours for which paid overtime will be received.

Salary: The role has a full time equivalent salary of up to £31,395 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. This will be pro-rata’d to reflect the part-time, term time only working pattern, to £14,133 per annum.


Safeguarding responsibilities of the successful candidate

Staff are advised to maintain an attitude of “it could be happening here and probably is” as far as safeguarding is concerned and should always act in the best interest of the child.

All staff are expected to actively promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils. This post involves contact with children and the postholder will sometimes be responsible for children, therefore they will be considered to be in regulated activity and must report any concerns in a timely manner.

All staff must also attend annual safeguarding training and have proper regard for the School’s safeguarding policy and procedures.
