Located on a site adjacent to King's Worcester Senior School and Worcester Cathedral, King’s St Alban’s Prep School is a busy and fulfilling place to work.
Music sits at the heart of life at King’s St Alban’s and as one of the nation’s 44 Choir Schools, and a member of the Choir Schools’ Association, we are proud of our musical heritage.
We are seeking to appoint a Director of Music and Performance who will oversee all aspects of performance in both our Pre-Prep and Prep departments.
We're looking for applicants who can demonstrate:
- Great energy and enthusiasm for music and performance with the ability to inspire children through their love of music-making.
- An ability to play the piano to a high standard in order to accompany performances during concerts and for school assemblies as required.
- The ability to cater for learners of different types and abilities, maintaining class interest to maximise learning.
- The ability to communicate effectively and with professionalism with staff, pupils, parents and other stakeholders at all times.

Working pattern and contract: This is a permanent position, commencing September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The working pattern is up to full-time.
