Part Time Finance Administrator

Come and join our busy finance team. Salary: Up to £25,000 (pro rata) Hours: 8 hours per day to be worked between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, three days per week (negotiable) Closing date: Monday 17 June 2019
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic finance administrator to join our finance team providing financial services to the three busy schools within the Northwood Schools family: Northcote Lodge and Broomwood Hall Lower and Upper schools.
The candidate will need good IT Skills (Intermediate level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook and computerised accounting software) or a willingness to learn, have some knowledge and understanding of accounting processes and procedures and possess good analytical and problem-solving ability. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be a confident person with a friendly, helpful and proactive 'can-do' attitude willing to carry out tasks Independently and as part of the Finance Team when required.
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will take responsibility for the Cashbook & various Balance sheet reconciliations. You will ensure all Bank entries are entered on a prompt basis to our accounting software, updating the Cashflow schedule & provide recommendations on action required. You will have an integral role with the Month end process and verify the validity of the Nominal Ledger with regular checks & reconciliations. The successful candidate will work closely with the billings clerk as well as carrying out data input and general administrative support to the Finance team. You will deal with finance related queries including telephone and email enquiries from visitors and staff, resolving problems and issues in a professional manner.
This role is offered on a salary of up to £25,000 per annum (pro rata) dependent upon experience. Hours of work are 8 hours per day to be worked between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, three days per week (negotiable). This includes lunch breaks which are paid.
