The Pocklington School Foundation is looking to appoint an exceptional Finance & Operations Manager to join our established team. This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a key role in the management of this successful co-educational and boarding School situated 12 miles East of York and would be ideal for an experienced and knowledgeable finance professional to really shape this role and make it their own. The successful candidate will support and deputise for the Bursar, whilst playing a fundamental role in developing and implementing our bold Strategic Education Vision, alongside the Foundation’s management teams.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and highly organised individual with an appropriate accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). Experience of working within a school, educational setting or similar establishment will be an advantage but not essential. The ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of accounting, financial planning and regulatory requirements is essential.
You must be an experienced and effective Finance Professional with a strong operational focus. You’ll have the ambition, drive and energy to further develop the role for the Foundation with the ability to grow strong, collaborative relationships with our key stakeholders and the wider community.
Candidates should note that the position is a wide-ranging one, the post holder will require a strong and flexible commitment to the needs of the Foundation and an interest in the development of all areas of school life. In making the appointment, particular regard will be given to the potential exhibited by candidates as well as to their experience.
