Working as part of a team in a busy, caring and friendly school environment we are looking to appoint an unqualified Teaching Assistant to work specifically within our PE department from September 2019.
We offer a wide range of sporting opportunities to our boys, including Outdoor Education and Forest School activities. The successful candidate will support the teaching of PE and Games across all year groups from Year 1 to Year 6, as well as undertaking playground, lunchtime cover and general administrative duties.
The role is particularly suitable for a graduate looking to start a career in teaching. Candidates should have experience of working with or caring for children, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a particular interest in and enjoyment of PE and Games, and be willing to participate in extra-curricular activities and events.
The post is temporary for one year and full time. The hours of work are from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm working as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant and 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm in After School Care, Monday to Friday, term time only including INSET, totalling 37.5 hours per week.
As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check.
