The school seeks a dynamic and well-qualified Teacher of PE & Games with responsibility for Netball to join our dynamic Sports & PE department at an exciting time.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence a track record of achieving good or outstanding results, as well as being able to demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for the subject and the ability to engage, motivate and inspire students of all abilities. The right candidate should have a commitment to raising achievement, raising aspirations and going the extra mile.
As Head of Netball the successful candidate will join a team of heads of individual sports who work closely together to provide a well-balanced, aspirational and forward-looking sporting programme that has consistency in pedagogy and outreach across the entire school. The Netball Club has strong links with clubs within the area and a significant element of this role is to strengthen and further develop these links to enhance player development and pathways.
All teachers in the Department coach a Senior School team and attend Saturday fixtures throughout the academic year. Every year group has one games afternoon that is supplemented by an after school practice and a lunch time or before school skills clinic. There will also be the opportunity to teach some Years 3 - 6 Games in our Prep School.
The School currently enjoys an incredible level of success in a growing number of sports. We are currently ranked number one in the country for golf and our football teams regularly progress to the final stages of national competitions. Hockey, Netball & Cricket sustain strong performances and enjoy robust training programmes throughout the year.
