DEPUTY HEAD (ACADEMIC) and HEAD OF MATHEMATICS Required for January 2020 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Following the promotion of the current post-holder to headship, we are recruiting a Deputy Head (Academic) to be responsible for the monitoring, evaluating and developing of the curriculum, the teaching, the reporting and recording procedures and the assessment practices of the school, including senior school transfer.
The Deputy Head (Academic) is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Headmaster and, working closely with the Head of the Pre-Prep and Teacher & Learning Coordinator, as well as with other members of the Senior Leadership Team. The main focus of the role is to lead the pupil-centred educational ethos of the school.
We are looking for an inspirational teacher, who has a breadth of teaching knowledge, and a level of management experience either in the state sector or the independent sector.
The current post-holder is also the Head of Mathematics and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to fulfil both roles.
Candidates should be experienced at working with prep school aged children and have the ability to establish excellent relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. They should promote high standards in the delivery of the curriculum and be able to lead by example, be committed to continuous improvement and have the ability to build upon the excellence of what has already been established.
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
