Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher to join our energetic and collaborative Early Years and Pre-Prep department at St Hugh’s School. This is a maternity cover position starting in January 2026, initially for two terms, with the possibility of extension until Christmas 2026. The successful candidate will be hard working and committed to teaching an EYFS/KS1 class.

Salary: according to experience
Your role will be to develop and nurture the children to ensure that they progress to their maximum potential. You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of stimulating lessons in line with the agreed syllabus and schemes of work across all subjects of the curriculum, with the exception of PE, French, Forest School, Music & ICT.
St Hugh's is a highly regarded coeducational day and boarding school. We are situated on a beautiful green campus of 40 acres in the South Oxfordshire countryside, only 25 minutes from Central Oxford. In June 2025, the Headmaster and Governors announced that St Hugh’s would be opening a Senior School in September 2026. It is a very exciting time to be joining St Hugh’s.
