37.5 hours per week term time only
Working hours Monday – Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Actual salary £19,350.98 (FTE £24,784.50)
Required 2 September 2026 until 8 July 2027
Are you enthusiastic about sport and eager to gain hands-on experience in an educational setting? We are seeking a Sports & School Support Assistant to join our team on a term-time, full-time basis, supporting pupils and staff across the school.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a gap year student or someone considering a future in education, coaching, or working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support PE and games lessons across various sports
- Assist with weekly swimming sessions (Pool Responder training provided)
- Help facilitate extracurricular sports clubs and fixtures
- Provide general support to teachers and pupils across the school
About You:
- Passionate about sport and working with young people
- Willing to complete Pool Responder training (funded by the school)
- Coaching experience or qualifications in sports such as netball, football, cricket, hockey, or tennis are advantageous but not essential
- Energetic, proactive, and eager to learn
