Salary: £10.85 p/h pay including holiday pay (ages 16-20), 21 and over £12.71 p/h
Overall purpose of the post:
To assist the Estates team over the summer holidays with typical work to include manual tasks such as removing carpets, moving furniture, taking down pictures and noticeboards, carrying equipment, cleaning, and painting.
The nature of the role is such that an exhaustive list of duties is not possible. On any given day a summer worker may be required to transport materials, paint a wall, sweep paths, unload a delivery of furniture.
Hours of work Monday to Friday 8am until 4pm please allow some flexibility where required
Key responsibilities:
- Basic painting including outside areas like fences and benches.
- Room strip outs including carpets, furniture and removing curtain rails and boards from walls.
- Furniture installation including flatpack building.
- Site clearances of rubbish to skips and compounds.
- Sweeping and cleaning of paths and areas including jet washing.
- Delivering of goods and parcels across the campus.
- Cleaning of minibuses and works vehicles.
8. Work with the Facilities & Maintenance Teams across all areas of the school to make sure all works are completed and before the new term starts.
