The Role

Strathallan School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational Peripatetic Visiting Music Tutor for Pipe Band Bass and Tenor Drumming to join its thriving and well-established Traditional Music Department for October 2025.

A Visiting Music Tutor at Strathallan inspires, enthuses, guides and motivates pupils through the study, practice and performance of Traditional Music. There is the possibility of further hours if sufficient pupils are recruited.  We would ideally like the successful applicant to be available to teach on Wednesdays, as this when we hold our Competition Pipe Band practices

.Pipe Band Bass and Tenor Drumming instruction is offered from Year 1 to Upper 6th and is a popular co-curricular choice for pupils. Pupils practice towards performances at competitions and events across the world, and we have also been lucky enough to share the stage with band such as Skipinnish, Skerryvore and The Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
