Clinical Psychologist

  • Hampshire

  • St Swithun's School

  • Part-time

Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive specialist to champion mental health within our school community.

Detail

Part time, 16 - 20 hours per week

Term time only (35 weeks per year) Flexible start date, from September 2025

We believe that girls who are happy and healthy are much more likely to achieve their goals and aspirations. Our aim is to educate our students about how to look after themselves and to develop relevant self-care strategies. We want them to be aware of when they are struggling; to have strategies that they can use and to have the confidence to speak to someone when they may need extra help.

Our clinical psychologist will work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the governance of psychological practice at St Swithun’s, as well as providing individual psychological assessments and therapeutic support to pupils with emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties. They will work across the prep and senior schools as needed.

This is a permanent, term time only role (35 weeks per year). Part time hours of between 16 and 20 hours per week are available; the working pattern is flexible (e.g. you could work two 08.30-17.00 days or four 09.00-14.00 days or suggest your preferred working pattern).

Full details of the role are within the information pack - please see attached.

The closing date for applications is 9am, Wednesday 2 July 2025.
