The successful candidate will work closely with the Inclusion Lead (SENDCo), class teachers and colleagues across the school to support pupils with additional learning needs through targeted teaching and effective inclusive practice.

About the role

The Inclusion Teacher supports pupils with additional learning needs through targeted teaching for individuals and small groups, closely aligned with classroom learning. The role includes contributing to assessment and monitoring, supporting the development and review of individual provision plans, and evaluating the impact of interventions.

Working alongside class teachers, you will support adaptive teaching strategies and help remove barriers to learning. The role also involves working with parents and, where appropriate, external professionals, and contributing to smooth transition and continuity of provision between year groups.

About you

You will be a qualified teacher with experience of supporting pupils with SEND across the primary age range. You will have a secure understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching and be able to plan and deliver focused interventions that support progress.

You will be organised, reflective and confident working collaboratively within a team. You will communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and parents, and approach your work with consistency and care. Additional SEND qualifications or specialist training are desirable.
