HOUSE PARENT – FEMALE BOARDING HOUSE

Situated on the beautiful Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is widely recognised as the world leader in character education. We run our own prestigious and well-established Summer School for children aged 8-16 from approximately 40 nationalities. Each year we create a vibrant international community where our staff play a critical role in creating a happy and formative summer experience for our students. 

We are looking for a small number of female Houseparents to lead the pastoral teams within our female boarding houses. You will be responsible for all aspects of pastoral care for the young people staying in your boarding house, and lead a team of pastoral staff, including an Assistant House Parent, Staff Assistants and Student Leaders. You will have relevant pastoral experience in an educational, boarding or summer school environment and be able to provide encouragement and support to students, enabling them to fully embrace the wide and varied summer school programme. You will complete reports on the students and be involved in some excursions and activities.

Summer School operates two courses and staff are required to be available for the duration of one of courses. 2024 dates, including mandatory induction, are: 

Course I: Tues 2nd July – Mon 29^th July

Course II: Wed 10th July – Mon 5th August 

Both courses are residential with full board. Competitive Salary.
