Detail
Foundation Development Manager
The Coventry School Foundation is seeking to appoint its first Foundation Development Manager.
The schools that make up our Foundation share a history that spans close to 680 years. As a result of royal patronage, educational excellence and a lasting commitment to helping young people thrive beyond the school gates, they have flourished.
Preparing pupils to positively engage with a rapidly and radically changing world is our priority. We want them to embrace everything our schools have to offer and leave us feeling ready to take on new challenges, whatever their landscape of exploration happens to be. Our role is to inspire, guide and support them in this process. Through outstanding education and opportunities, we help them to become emotionally, spiritually and inquisitively ‘world ready’.
At Coventry School Foundation our bursary and scholarship fund is dedicated to easing financial worries and unlocking the next important steps in a young person’s journey. Our vision is to lead the way in educational experience and opportunity across our family of schools. This means our charitable aims are tightly focused on the young people we serve and the different communities in which they live. A bursary place not only has the capacity to transform the life of an individual student, but it also enriches the entire school community, ensuring that our Foundation remains socially and culturally inclusive.
We are now seeking to appoint a Foundation Development Manager who will be responsible for delivering a development plan that initially secures transformational funding for our bursary and scholarship programme, while creating a culture of philanthropy that endures. This new role will play a pivotal part in transforming young lives, expanding access, nurturing diversity, and ensuring that talent and potential, not circumstance, determine opportunity.
An exciting place to work, the Foundation is poised to continue our ambitious journey. Our philanthropic agenda is an essential part of what we aim to achieve, and the potential impact this role can have on our pupils, staff and partners should not be underestimated. Working closely with the Principal and senior leaders, you will shape a sustainable development strategy that enables us to expand bursary provision and secure transformational support for generations to come.
As well as being an experienced fundraising professional, you will be a collaborative and inclusive leader, with an excellent track record in delivering development programmes across similar large and complex organisations. You will be skilled at articulating impact, turning stories of opportunity and transformation into compelling reasons for others to invest in our shared future.
If you believe in the power of education to change lives and want to help shape the next chapter of our remarkable history, we’d love to hear from you.
An attractive employment package is on offer, commensurate with senior-level experience.
